Hi, I was wondering if anyone's driving down to Vancouver from Toronto. I would like to find out if anyone would like to carpool down. I think it would be fun to have a mini road trip. There is a train from Toronto to Vancouver with stop at Jasper.... an option if your objective is for seeing Canada...

this is not a 'mini' road trip., its a good 4 day trip one way!
Secondly, its probably cheaper for you to fly.
ALternately look into Greyhound (bus) or VIA Rail. As someone mentioned, train is a very scenic way to go, though a bit pricey.
