Hi all,
Can someone tell me how much time they had to wait for test AFTER getting the RCMP fingerprinting results back ? I got to know that RCMP have finally sent back my results to CIC end of February AFTER a waiting time of 8 months, should I expect anything soon ?
My second question is : Can someone share his/her experiences during the test ? I mean I have my new passport only and the old one is not with me anymore, i didnt care to keep it because i once asked CIC call centre about the importance of 1st entry stamp on it and she said that my old passport has no value whatsoever once it is expired and my main ID is my current passport and my PR card as far as CIC dept is concerned.
I am a bit worried about this ordeal and worry that they wont accept me for the test after reading about similar topics on the forum. Any suggestions ?
Thanks
Hi Everybody specially Pramod Chopra I need your Advice..
As u know I have applied for citizenship on 2nd of August 2003 and really I was expecting my test anytime but I was really surprised to hear that I called for Finger Prints It is really depressing moment for me after 9 months I have called for finger prints!!!!.
My question is with whom should I contact coz call center people they does'nt know anything...
Secondly what you think regarding my processing time as per call center agent I have to wait for next year ....
Tell me what should I do? It is really disgusting...you guys can feel my frustation mostly you were going through the same pain..
I have lot of questions in my mind!! why they ask for finger prints after 9 months as per call agent my name is very common....so what they were doing from last nine months? why they not noticed it before? should I through my previous nine month in garbage can and wait for my processing time from scratch..coz usually finger prints comes just after the processing starts..any comments!!
Hello Gladiator,
If you go thru the previous posts on 'citizenship', you can see my posting on fingerprints. I had applied for citz in last week of sept'03 and called for fingerprints in second week of march'04, and by third week of march'04, I had sent the fingerprints to CIC and just relaxing(or trying to forget!) for the next 6-8 months!!!
I think 'The Commissionaires' is the only authorized private agency that CIC recognises apart from the local police, and need an appointment to get it done. Initially I got the appt 3-weeks later from the called date from both the local police & commissionaires. I requested Comm. if I can walk-in, if there's a cancelled appt. So after 2-3 days they called me, to walk-in that afternoon on a cancelled appt, and I just rushed in. Same way you can probably request them to get an early date.
CIC should have sent in the form to you, but you don't need that when you go to Commissionaires, they have the empty forms, they enter your data on their system and get you the info printed on the forms. They would ask for 2 pieces of Id: DL and/or Health card.
Here's the address for Toronto area, call them & get an appt. http://www.fingerprintingservice.ca/
I can understand your frustration, cause I had been thru this just few weeks earlier, but there's really nothing we can do except to wait for 6-8 months after sending in the fingerprint form back to CIC. So, hang in there, good luck!
