I need help with interpreting my IELTS results, please any advice from experts would be very welcomed.

I applied as a skilled worker in oct 2006, send requested documents in Feb 2009 with written documentation of my proficiency in english language. Additional documentation requested in march 2009 but no ielts was asked. All the documents asked were submitted in April 2009. However, I decided to undertake the ielts anyway even though I was not asked for it. The issue is I have studied in english all my life from elementary to master degree level. I am not a native speaker but fluent in the use of english language. I had my master education in UK and have been working in the UK as a geologist for almost three years.

I took the IELTS test and my results are as follows:

Speaking=7.5
Reading=7.0
Listening=6.5
writing=6.5

I have been told there are two IELTS chart. An old one and a new one. When I used the Old chart, I got 12 points (which would lead to big problem as I need 14 points), but when I use the new one, I got 14 points. After searching through the internet, I am really confused on which of the chart the visa officer will use to assess my results. My test date was 18 april 2009.

Since I was not asked for IELTS, does it mean the visa officer is satisfy with the points I am claiming for my proficiency in english. Should I send the IELTS result to the visa officer or I should just wait for their final decision.

Please any advice from expert would be very appreciated.

4+4+2+4

I believe this is a good score, you can send it and will add more value to your application
