Intrestingly the place it happened was not Woodstock but a place called Bethel.

Both are fighting it out for the credit. If you go looking for the place at Woodstock town you'll not find it but it is across the applachian hills in a place called Bethel where you'll find the Woodstock memorial(sight'n'sound) center.
