I applied for my canadian passport and I forged a signature of my friend as "my Guarantor". They let me apply again with the guarantor signing again and let me wrote a letter that I did this act. My letter will go to "security " dept. as they said.

My question is:
What do I expect next?
Jail, a fine or nothing????

Note: they checked with my friend and he admitted that he knows me well and used to guarantee me in many occasions but have no idea about the application.

when you knew that your friend knows you, why was there a need for forging signature in the first place? somethings missing in this picture, as regards to passport, nothing may happen, but it will continue to haunt you
