I knew that u will pop up.
Sorry man, we should not study math/science and I wish if it can be stopped teaching in the schools so that our kids can live more comfortable life.
The thing is, and please, please, please.....think seriously before you jump to putting something here - define what you mean by education. Is education simply academic learning or learning life skills too? Is it learning only the formulae of math or learning how they are used in practical life too?
If it is only academic learning, than is it restricted to Math and Science or involves Languages, geography, history, social studies etc. etc.?
U r mixing the lifestyle with education. If u have to just learn lifestyle then one's parents can contribute a lot and we do not need teachers of diff. subjects.
Education has nothing to do with the life style. There are numerous examples of people who were uneducated but lived like a king.
If it is not a question of academia then why bother where u are being educated.
I think u need to understand the question first as u started comparing lifestyle in India and Canada where as the question is about the education not the lifestyle.
1. As I feared, you missed (or deliberately avoided) the two questions above.
2. Lifestyle is directly related to education - which includes, in my view, what you learn from parents, siblings, friends, society, and yes, in school too. For you education seems to be only academic subjects (restricted to math and science - other subjects are not included in education) taught in Asian schools.
By the way, can you give me a practical, simple and layman example of a situation where we can use quadratic equation in our daily lives?? I hope you will give me an example from a book on math taught in India.
