Adults seems to be more excited and try to create more excitement among the kids by pointing to palace, characters etc..whereas kid really wanted to be in hotel, having fun in swimming pool..etc
They rather enjoyed couple of nights of stay at a normal resort with swimming pools and water sports. etc.
How was your experience?
Most people go for 1 week vacation and try to do everything.
So you are always running running and running.
Take it easy.
Each of the parks is at least 1 full day and some like Animal Kingdom probably require more than 1 day.
Plan on 1 full day per park and allow 1 or 2 rest days in between.
You don't have to do visit everything on first trip - you can always come back.
And there's nothing wrong with wanting to do other things there.
It's a nice area and sometimes just walking along International Blvd. or a trip to the Cape or nearby beaches is equally enjoyable.
Also, as others have said, avoid summer holidays.
The heat, humidity, crowds and the rush takes the fun out of Disney.
