A slap on face of India. Hope this puts an end to boasting that India is IT super power.

As usual spineless MMS has sent Mr. Krishna to grovel before Hans. That Joker is begging Chinese Govt. to not to support Maoist - on the day when 75 SECURITY personnel have been killed. However, MMS is a ruthless guy and inspite of a very large number of casualties on Kashmir front and by Maoist, he has not lost sleep like he lost when an Indian Muslim was detained in Australia over terrorism charge. Over a period of time , I have come to realize that MMS reflects character of India people. They have no human values. They enjoy movies and T20. Nobody has time to shed tear over dead. Had they any concern, Kangress would not have swept Mumbai election after 26/11 (people had choice to elect any other party, not necessarily Shiv sena or BJP).

Hope China keeps slapping Shikhandi MMS hard. Even junkies react to hard slapping. May be MMS will wake up and might do something for India before its too late.

New Delhi: A criminal gang based in China has been carrying out a spying operation for several months, targeting Indian government establishments, including security installations.

According to a report by some computer security researchers based in Canada, the Chinese network is based in Sichuan province, and given the “sophistication of the intruders and the targets of the operation” it is possible that “the Chinese government approved of the spying”, the New York Times (NYT) said.

According to the NYT, the “intruders pilfered classified and restricted documents from the highest levels of the Indian defence ministry” and targeted Indian missions in many cities, and experts and journalists who write on strategic affairs.

The report ‘Shadows in The Cloud: Investigating Cyber Espionage 2.0’, was prepared by researchers and collaborating institutions based at the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto.

It documents “a complex ecosystem of cyber espionage that systematically compromised government, business, academic, and other computer network systems in India, the offices of the Dalai Lama, the United Nations, and several other countries”.
The profile of documents recovered suggests that the attackers targeted “specific systems and profiles of users”.

Some documents “contain sensitive information taken from a member of the national security council secretariat concerning secret assessments of the security situation in Assam, Manipur, Nagaland and Tripura, as well as concerning Maoists”.

They also contain confidential information from Indian embassies regarding international relations with and assessments of activities in West Africa, Russia/Commonwealth of Independent States and the Middle East, as well as visa applications, passport office circulars and diplomatic correspondence.

The hackers accessed personal information of an officer of the directorate general of military intelligence. They also targeted The Times of India, FICCI and multinational firms based in India.
“Some academics and journalists who were compromised were interested in and regularly reporting on sensitive topics such as Jammu & Kashmir,” the report said.

The report said they have proof that 1,500 letters sent from the Dalai Lama’s office between January and November 2009 were part of the stolen documents.

The hackers also targeted the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses, a leading think-tank funded by the government, as well as journalists at the Strategic and FORCE magazines, both specialising on defence and security.
