I agree with the article that we are a soft target.But in todays world freindship means bussiness.How much you can exploit a nation.

The worst part is we are sourrounded by nations which has no desires to progress,and our politaical parties also play that cards.

Now regarding the killing of Suryanarayn in Afghanistan this was because of Pakistan which does not want indians to have influence in Afghanistan affairs.
I can write a long page on this topic since i have been comming and staying for months in Afghanistan from last 3 years and the engineer was a freind to me since we have worked in a same company in Bahrain.The another twist to this was that recently last year India has opened a Air base near Afghan boarder and will train the Afghan forces and repair the military equipments.
Mr kutty was killed again because the indians are building a road between Iran and Afghanistan which will help indian goods to flow freely since it is nearly impossible to get the goods through pakistan.

The only good part played by the indian goverment in suryas case was that the action was very swift and the talibans had a pressure to realese him that is why they killed him before the deadline.

This statement does not hold any longer as Nepal has amended its constitution to declare itself as Secular and no longer a Hindu nation. Hence as on date 28th May 2006 there is no Hindu Nation in the world.

The Communists in Nepal have started solidfying their bond with China, and hence shortly the roads from Shanghai and Peking will be right to border of India. Once they start unloading cheap stuff in Nepal it can find its way into India and can have a very hard effect on the Indian economy.

The Chinese and now the Americans have started poking their nose into Sri Lanka. This way they would get a base in Sri Lanka. They can start controlling the affairs down south.

You guys have already written about what is happening to the East and the West of India.

After the resignation of the Indian Foreign Minister Mr.Natwar Singh, we do not have a foreign affairs minister and hence Jaswanth Singh of BJP had to go to Nepal to help the King step down.

With all the internal problems like the reservation, the Communists becoming stronger in various states only time will tell us what will be our economic future in the next 25 years.

But the amazing revelation today is that the Communist Chief Minister of West Bengal Mr.Brand Buddha is better Capitalist than most of the guys at the Center. Even though I do not have any communist leanings, the thinking of people like Mr.Karat and his wife are more balanced than the current jokers in the Congress government. But the problem again is who will bell the cat for the Congress, the party of BJP is full oldies and in disarray.The intellectual like Manmohan has been hijacked by people like Arjun Singh for their personal agendas. The finance minister Mr.P.Chidambaram seems to be totally lost in the whole deal. He keeps doing stuff which is affecting the countries economy. The statements on the stock market which made the market drop over a 10%, his take on reservation, his statement supporting Tamil Nadus Rs.2 per KG rice, and then when he was asked whether he would implement it for whole of India, he backed off and said what is being done in Tamil Nadu is that states problem. Now there will be a shortfall of Rs.550 Crores in TN's budget and who is going to pay for it ?.

There seems to be no clear cut direction. "Two steps forward, one step back">
