massodji,
i have a specific question on sponsoring my father.i need a family income of $ 48,000 to sponsor my father which i have in the last year.but this income of $ 48,000 is reached after including $5,000 which my wife got in employment insurance.
Now, can this $5,000 be counted as a family income or not?
victor
I'm sorry my previous answer was 'no'. I replied in haste. My sincere apologies. EI is included in the computation. You should be fine.

It is very strange that if it comes to taxing....the 5000 will be included in your family income...:-(
