You can. Do make sure your wife brings in the balance. However, the officer may insist that YOU ought to have the full amount with you, being the principal applicant.

Bring the whole amount yourself if possible.

Moreover paying of the daughters tution fees and other edu related expenses how much additional to be provided?
What does your experience say shou;ld I migrate with my family or that I should land first and then call for my family after I settle?
With wife and daughters together, am I not increasing the chances of getting on to some job ? ofcourse expenses too are on from day 1.
Please guide

Hi peacock1,

I know this Q is for one of our experts. But I am letting you know from what I have seen from the experiences of othr families. I DO NOT know the situation personally, coz right now we do not have kids.

The answer depends on how old are your kids? Are they old enough to do either a part time or summer job ? If YES, it would be a great boost to your family. Here all students work. the good part abt our kind of family is that kids contribut towards home exps.

If you land here with your family, it will give you a moral support as well. Coz one can get a bit alone here. Again it's your call. Whatever happens, just be confident. When I was coming here with my wife, there were lot of well wishers advising me to go alone, settle first and then ask my wife to join me. But we came together and two sources of income helped us getting on tracks much faster.

All the best. Even if you need any other help after landing here, pl feel free to contact me. I am in Toronto.

I used to be in favour of coming alone first. I changed my mind after I saw big men cry without their loved ones.

Best to have your 'supportive' spouse with you. (Leave the nagging spouse in home country) ;)

Hi Reachash,
Thanks for your reply, my daughters are all > 17, and they too are enthu to join me, incl my wife, it is that I am only too skeptical about the issue and really can't arrive at a decision, I am receiving all the advise s similar to yours from all well wishers and they confuse me a lot, any more such experiences on these type of problems?
please share.
