Hi everyone,
My wife will be going to mumbai on monday for medical exam from Gujarat. I could not find any doctor near Surat. I found some in Ahemdadbad but its preety far. Heres the doctor info.

when i called them they asked me where were they suppose to send the results?
I had no answer for her so i would like to from CDS. where should the doctor suppose to send the results?
and another thing, They charging 2500 RPS for the exam and she asked to carry littel more around 4000 RPS just incase..I dindt like the sound of that. it sound fishy.
anyways, plz guys tell me if you have used this doctor before and if she is ok to deal with?
plz suggest me if you knw any other other lady doctor please.

Since you did not read many posts or ask questions prior to this, what you might have known as expenses for the medicals will be new to you and it might sound a little out of place. But if you take a look at what they are allowed to charge the Immigrant and you will find that it is reasonable.
I happened to go through the list of things that they want the Immigrant to go through and the expenses that might cost you will be considered very high by you. Here in Canada it will cost you six times that.
I will provide you with an address to which you can mail and ask or go through the Medical forms thoroughly and also ask Sophie the receptionist at Mumbai and she will tell you that she knows what to do with the forms. They have done it before. Also if you want them to courier it at your cost, they will get you a TRACKING Number to see if and when it reached them. She speaks Gujarathi also and so you will feel at home. It takes a few hours and so be prepared for it.
All of the Doctors there in Mumbai are linked and it is a Family Affair and each one recommends the next and that is how they got in onto this Specific list of Doctors. So you can choose anyone in this list and they all have done this Examination before.

I have no problem paying the cost for medical exam but wat i have problem with is being cheated. The way she told me
she said " its 2500 rps but bring more incase there are other test needed to be done"
that got me thinking that they mite say theres this wrong or that wrong..wat do we knw..after all its MUMBAI.

Yes, they can charge you more if they didn't do anything properly (like x-ray) and they have to do it again then you have to pay again.
They know you have no choice.
Dr Frainy Palia has the best set up for doing medical exams amongst all the Mumbai physicians. All the tests are done at one location. since her clinic is attached to a diagnostic center. My wife had her medical done over there and several of my friends and relatives who have come to Canada have used her and had no issues.
I find it difficult to believe that her clinic wouldn't know where to send the tests, since they do dozens of medical exams for Canada each day. Perhaps, they did not understand your request.
I would like to warn against using Dr.Chichgar. He functions out of a run-down building at Churchgate and sends the applicants to different places to do the medical exams. Also, he has been known to make women especially uncomfortable by asking them to strip naked (Dr.Palia does not do this) and ogles them.

My friend, just because it's Mumbai doesn't mean people are out to cheat you. These are reputed docs who have been doing medical exams for decades for Canadian, Australian and UK immigration.

I am assuming that your wife will be coming by train and trains from Surat arrive at Bombay Central. She should take a taxi and ask them to take her to the American Consulate. Dr.Palia's clinic is located a few meters away from the consulate.
