Hello Friends in Canada,

We all have various issues to discuss and quite a lot of experiences to share regarding our immigration to Canada. After we landed here, generally we had to face the hard and utterly bitter realities of this country which are always hidden and well covered up both by the system here and our very own few \"Safal Desis\" or so called successful ones who ultimately become agents and propagators of this system. These people are more dangerous and deceitful than the white canadians.

I have a very sound and mutually beneficial proposal to make for all us. Let us all unite and form an association of such educated immigrants to take on this corrupt and unjust way of governance which has spolied our professional careers and personal lifestyles. We will have the mass strength and resources to move together for legal redressal of our grievances. All interested people are requested to send me an email and we will communicate with each other to make this happen. I appeal to all such like minded community members to join hands in this noble cause.
I take this opportunity to thank in advance Canadian Desi for their cooperation to spread this message around our community.

Waiting for your replies.

Thanks
Puru1

Puru
You are new to Canada! Did you read Canadiandesi before coming to Canada. Why did you choose to come? You are not the first person feeling frustated and want to unite and fight against system. This has been going on for years and will continue to be this way.
You are going thru incubation period of Canada. Sooner or later you will be one of them and smile on a new immigrant's statement / appeal to unite and fight against system.
Tell us at Canadiandesi, how mails did your recieve in support to your appeal.
Sit back, relax and think what next step is good for your career.

Hi Charlie,
I am 3 years old in Canada. I understood this evil game long time back. It does not take an intelligent and self-respecting man much time to understand any deceitful game going on anywhere. I do not want to debate this issue with anyone. I am on the lookout for like minded people to join forces. You are free to have your own views and I respect that. But remember everyone is not made of the same material. That is why the world is progressing. You too should respect the views of others. So please if someone is determined enough he or she can contact me. Anyway thanks for replying. If any evil goes on for years it does not necessarily mean that it will go on ever like you said. This is the major problem. I will surely keep posting about the fate of my appeal.

Charlie is just showing you the true picture.........I hope that does not happen with you and you go ahead with your appeal and hopefully.
If any evil goes on for years it does not necessarily mean that it will go on for ever.
I agree with that too and also too amny attempts are needed to be successful. One cannot expect or rather should not expect to achieve the goal in just one shot.
People like me are tired of hearing about stuff like this (appeals, suing and all that BS), coz so far I ahve not heard one person succeeding. If that happens then may be I might start paying more attention to this matters.

Appeal to unite fellow immigrants
Hello Friends in Canada,

We all have various issues to discuss and quite a lot of experiences to share regarding our immigration to Canada. I am forced to take issue with puru1, because he is - biased, pessimistic ,and judgemental. I have come across numerous desis who have gone through hell before making it big in this country. They have vented their feelings at some point in time, but rarely have I come across the kind of diatribe, and venom that puru1 spits.

As someone who has numerous of postings on this subject, I empathize with puru1, but I resent his choice of adjectives and labels. I am forced to respond to the diatribe, the language and bias that puru1 shows.

What is the \"system\" that he talks about? Yes there might be (and probably there is) discrimination in this country when it comes to skin race - Anyone in his right mind would know that before boarding his/her flight to the west.

I am amused about \"unjust and corrupt goveernance\" that puru1 talks about in his posting. I am laughing my wits out because this guy can see nothing but darkness in this country. Coming from India (am I right?) puru1 should be more familiar with \"unjust and corrupt governance\" than the average white canadian. I would like to hear in somewhat good detail what he means by these terms.

To say that the successful desis \"ultimately become agents and propagators of this system\" (of unjust and corrupt governance\";) is a load of crap. Does that mean that when puru1 becomes successful and rich, he will do the same?

It takes months (and years for some) to navigate the system here. The fact remains that we desis are a fragmented lot, divided on lines of state, language and culture. I once proposed the same thing that puru1 is now doing. The difference is that in my posting I avoided being judgemental and avoided the use of adjectives. There was not one positive response to my proposal - the reasons are not hard to find.

I commend puru1 for his effort to bring desis together - the agenda has to be different. Can we get well placed desis to hire desis instead of an afro american or a white canadian? That would be the first step towards success. If we succeed in that, probably we would have more success postings in the \"success stories\" column.

Thanks for your kind words. Atleast you seem to feel that there is a possiblity of success if frequent attempts are made in an organized and consistent manner. I have a suggestion for you. Instead of waiting for others, why don't you resolve firmly to be a part of this noble cause? Do not forget it is not only for our good but for the betterment of our people who come here in the near future.

Not that I was successful or well placed when I helped a desi get a job in my company......the result was that after bitter experience with the desi/colleague I quit my job within 5 months....so go figure.
Inspite of that one experience I am still willing to help but the general impression about us blowing smoke is very true. we are too stuck up to realise that.

I know for sure evetually the efforts will bear fruit.....if you turn back time they were not allowing outside canada experience for PENG or for OACETT....if you go looking around you will find a lot of eg. This changes were brought forth by people like you and passive supporters like me.

I believe it is the moral duty of the just and the able to help in the betterment of others period.

Reminds me of that shayri,
LehroN ke saath agar behta jayay to
Murda hai
Lekin lehroN ke muqabil behnay lagay to
Zinda hai
But based on personal experieinces in canada I have realised, it is much better to adapt to the system, tweak it where you can and build your life/career/family; rather than fighting it. The other reason being it is just too difficult to juggle the balls of family/career/money and to add to it the crusade. If there is a plan I dont mind hearing it and contributing to it, but what pisses me off is bunch of morons getting together and talking about things that are not at all practical. The other thing is I have not seen many aggressive and passionate people on this site willing to contribute with a great deal of zeal.
