Your original post gives an impression that you are planning to sponsor him in the parents category. If that is still the case,it does not matter what his profession was or whether his profession comes under the "in-demand" occupation list, he will be processed as dependant and it will take a minimum of 5 years, based on the current processing times.
If he is filing as under the skilled worker professional category, then that's a different situation. Are you sure that he will get the pass mark of 67. Assuming that he is above the age of 53, has no arranged employment, nor education in Canada, the points total to 64. Take the test yourself to find out the score

wanted to know how will it be possible for him to validate his MBBS degree from India....or any course he could take....
He might not practice full fledge...but something in his field...was wondering if any one can help me by answering these questions as it is a BIG BIG decision ...

I am not a fan of this sponsoring parents practice. Integration culturally is not going to happen and what i see is basically very little contribution to the economy but Canadian taxpayers have to bear the healthcare costs.

Well said Manjeet. I COMPLETELY agree with you. Having my parents live with me would provide me an immense satisfaction and happiness. This is more a question of emotional happiness than money, economy, or anything else. Very very important - at least for me.
