I plan on applying for my immigration to Canada. Currently residing in India.

As, i had stayed in Canada(Vancouver) and did my schooling there, I wanted to get a police clearance certificate from the Vancouver Police Department(VPD). Any idea if there is a website or contact for the same.
I dropped an email to the VPD, but have had no answers yet.

Also, I wanted to get an expert opinion on my case file, before releasing the papers to CIC, if any one can help me out please provide me your email address or contact me on

Fees charged. : Fees

The fee for the VPD's Police Records Check Service is as follows (cash or debit only; credit cards are not accepted):

* Volunteers or practicum student with letter of proof – $25.00
* Police Record Check – $65.00
* Pardon / Local Police Record Checks – $65.00

Effective July 1, 2010 fees will be as follows:

* $35 for fingerprint service with $10 for each extra set of prints
* $75 for Police Record Check
* $30 Police Record check reduced fee for: volunteers or practicum student with letter of proof

You are no longer a student or a volunteer. So you merit the full fees charged. (Only if you need a Police Clearance from BC.and asked for by the CHC in Delhi)

So is it that, i can ask a Police Clearance certificate(PCC) from BC only if CIC office in Delhi demands?

I am sure, the PCC will be a mandatory document to further process my papers for immigration.
