Indian Police clearance

Hi,

How easy or difficult it is to get an Indian police clearance certificate while you are physically residing in US.

Can you write to the consulate requesting waiver or something??

Anybody went through this, pls throw some light

indian consulate in US will issue u one... take it easy.. I got one from Indian consulate in Toronto.

Just tell them that you have to file an application for Immigration purpose and u need a police clearance certificate from India. These guys in Toronto had regular application forms which I filled for birth certificate and PCC. They charge abt 20 bucks for each and u get them within 2 weeks.
its all easy !!! Just contact ur nearest consulate office.

I need to send an application by post to Indian Consulate in Texas. Do I need to send original passport and the photos?

yes you do they need to see the original passport. of all the applicants. so if you have wife and kids all should go
