I remember, on my very first job here, there was an Indian in my office. He would talk to me only when there was no one (whites) around, like in the copy room, kitchen, elevator, but every time there was a get together like a pot luck or a small celebration in the pantry or conference room, he would not even care to acknowledge me leave alone strike up a conversation. Infact a few other Indians in the office said he behaved the same way towards them too.
Haven't noticed so much in a work environment. But noticed difference in desi attitude in public places like mall etc especially the checkout counter staff. They greet and smile with gora customers but when a desi comes to counter it's like Mr. Hyde takes over!!
I usually ignore it, but when it happens for the 17th time, it just pisses me off. I almost feel like letting it rip but somehow control myself especially with kids around.
For me, this happens more in Brampton than anywhere else in GTA. I usually shop in Missga/Oakville mall these days...
