Hi,
This is something happened to a friend of mine recently.
He sent his credit card details to a another friend in India through email few days back. Almost the same time, he had a malware attack on his laptop.
He somehow recovered the machine.
After few days he was surpised to find that one of his credit cards was blocked by the credit card company. On calling them he found that somebody has stolen his card number and did many transactions.!!!
The case has been reported to the credit card company & other credit cards also disabled. He has been told that he doen't need to report this to police.
What are the recommended actions to be taken in such circumstances..?
Does this affect his credit history ?
He has been told that credit card company will credit the amount for the frauded transactions into his account.
