Few nice pictures do not make up for the mess that Kalmadi and his team has created, not to mention the blame game that is taking place now.
Even at this stage, they are blaming at each other rather than showing an unified front, that ultimately, we Indians failed at doing our job.

It took seven years and Rs. 5 crore for a company to build a Foot Over Bridge (FOB) near the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, which then collapsed. The Indian Army, which was called in to salvage the Delhi's pride and build a temporary FOB, has done the same job in four days flat and at a fraction of the original cost.

Most of the shoddy results are due to corruption, crooks and mis-management. However, if they put their heart in it, they are fully capable of doing the job...they just choose not to until the pressure from within or from outside becomes too great or when they are exposed.
In the 80s, several factions of the Sri Lankan Tamil rebels were in cozy positions with the Tamilnadu Govt and there were assassinations of the rival groups within Tamilnadu cities. Everyone ignored including the cops. Once Rajiv was assassinated, the culprits were cornered within days after a relenless pursuit and intelligence collection, demonstrating the ability of all the parties involved.
CWG seems to have followed the same pattern with embarrassing incidents. Hopefully, we'll see more of the pictures shown than the shoddy ones.
