I cannot bear to read it in full....
I have heard things like these and wonder whats going on.....are Canadian even remotely aware of whats going on?
I lived in a basement for the last 5 months....probably the worst period in my life....I really felt so bad that I found an appartment and even though I have to work extra hours and my brother has to work night shifts to pay the rent, I though it better.
whatever the time I am going to live here I will try to keep my esteem (which is tattered at this point).

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.

It is really sad to hear someone struggle. However, there are numerous situations and reasons for it. Without going deep into it, I would like to say that "it is a safe bet for middle or lower middle class person from India to take this risk of moving to a NEW country. Age is also an important factor. I would say people over 4o years should think twice before immigrating."
I have heard many immigrant say "we came to Canada for the future of our children". Well, after arriving those people seem to loose focus of their reason. I do understand that people would like to settle fast, but without struggle it is not possible to suceed (unless lucky !!!).

A lot of us have had good experience in Canada. Some Good and some Bad. Mine has been mixed in these 4 years. 95 % is a very wrong figure as stated earlier. The compnay i work for has a lot of desis and its call center. Trust me no matter how well qualified you are here good jobs are now really hard to find and mostly its goras who get it through contacts. i have seen it happening. I can see the frustration on the face of my fellow desis from India and pakistan.
Par kya karre. papi paet ka savaal hai. ( Everything can be sufferred just to feed your family). Trust me its not easy to move to a strange country with everything. and then loose it and move back a pauper. Mr Rasool is a strong man who took a BIG decision.
Hats of to you. I know sooner or later my time is coming to also move back.
My Thoughts People. This is how i feel . I had to put my 2 cents in.

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
This is a common scenario when over qualified immigrants come to Canada.
It is because Canada does not know the meaning of 'over qualified'. Qualifications from other countries are just not good enough here.
This country is more for the future of your children than for the parents.
If your kids go to school here they will find it easier to get a job than compared to a new immigrant with higher qualification and experience.
Look at reality. Canada is going to give preference to the thousands of students graduating each year from its own schools?
An immigrant has to realize that this country is not for their future (exception to some who have been lucky to get a job in their field) but for their children.
This is just based on my opinion. I am sure others have their own.
What do you all think about a mercury initiative
? Almost all of us would sincerely like to help someone in mercurys condition. However the task is overwhelming...there are many who need help. What if we just start with one person? Mercury6 .
How about all of us make efforts in whatever small way to help find him a job in his field...even an entry-level job perhaps?
There maybe many other deserving people on this forum too...however, least we drown in our own grandoise plans...lets just start with one. I know that this is not a new idea, and has been proposed before. However, its on a much smaller level than proposed before. So each of us has to push only one resume.
What do you all think? More importantly what does mercury6 think? If it makes sense to you guys maybe we can take it to the next level and request mercury6 qualifications/resume...minus the personal contact info for obvious reasons.
