Hello,
I am working in US and my H1 visa expires in 10 months. I am planning to apply for my PR for Canada. I am very confused whether to file from US or from India. If I file from US and if I have to come for interview to US after my H1 term, it could be very difficult to get a visitor visa to US. I am not sure on what basis we can get visitor visa for US at that point. Also I am very much worried that filing from India mean more delay. In the best case scenario, there won't be any interview and I don't have to come to US for interview. In the worst case scenario, I won't get a visa to US to attend the interview and application for canadian PR will become invalid and I will lose money and time.
Has anyone had similar situations and any suggestions please?
Thanks.
You can apply through USA but if you are not sure about being able to attend interview in US, then India is safetst bet. Nobody can guarantee you an interview waiver.
