Hi
I have applied for my wife & my daughters visitor visa extension last month. thier visa expires in march 15th but now i learned that it may take 3 more months in CPC Vegrevilla to process our case. I am worried whether my family can stay till that period since their visa expires in 15 days. are they eligible to stay in canada till the case is processed or should they leave canada. Thanks for your help

First contact Vegreville and see if they have received the same. OR you have the tracking number etc to check and verify. Please contact them and ask them how long it is going to take.
Now, Are the Passport and documents at their end. If so you will have to wait for them to arrive anyway.
They should stay till you verify about the receipt and their response. I think three months is too long. Some one is putting you on. So, hang in there. In my books they will extend the same. (I hope there were no pre conditions when they issued the Visa for their visit)

Actually passports are with us. we have applied for extension of visa with necessary documents. I have checked cic website for processing time, there they have mentioned that they are processing application received as of on december 2. we have sent our application on feb 9th. so i figured out it may take atleast 2 more months for our case to be processed. but our visa validity ends by march 15th. i am sure that if this study visa then we can stay in canada till getting any word from CIC. but i am not very sure if thats the case for visitor visa also is it legal to stay in canada till they process our case? Thank you

Today i called CIC call center and they told me that my family can stay till we get a word from them. i am very happy. Thank you very much for your time.
