Hi,
Right now we're in India & enjoying hot weather of north india
Anyway Can anybody tell me "How much gold jewellery we can bring with us". Or
there is no limit? Actually I'm thinking to bring as much gold as I can, becoz not easy to bring later……….Any idea? Has anybody faced any custom difficulty???

From my experience in Dubai, I have noticed that western women wear little or no gold jewellery to work and social occasions. Please comment.
Would 22 carat gold have good resale value in Toronto? Is it safe to keep at home? Are there locker facilities?

afaik there is no limit.
You may want to document the jewellery for insurance claims if need be(our insurance experts many know more).
Most of the ornate 22 carat gold jewellery we wear is not normally worn in the west.
You can rent a bank locker for 10-30$/yr and keep your jewellery in the same (incase you are not comfortable keeping it at home).

Yes, you can bring all your belongings with you when you arrive for the first time to Canada on immigration. Simultaneously you can also book other stuff to be sent here by ship or otherwise which you can not carry with you in the flight. However, you should let the immigration officer know of this thing at the port of entry and make sure he/she takes a note of every thing which you have left behind and wishes to bring into Canada within one year ( I hope) time and you get a receipt of this list noted by him/her on your landing record etc.
