Hello Immigration Experts and other CD’s:
I studied post-graduate certification program in Marketing Management in Canada during 2002-03 for 1 year and currently, I am on the post-graduate work-permit, which I received by studying in Canada. Now, I want to study further for 1 more year after my current work-permit will expire to get 5 points of adaptability for my immigration.
My questions are as follows and I would be very much appreciating if any of them helps me for my curiosity/concerns.
1. Do I have to study post-graduate or masters program only to claim 5 points of adaptability or can I study any small program from private college or some where else and can claim 5 points? Will immigration dept. approve my study permit for studying small program in small college?
2. If the program I enroll for study is of 8 months (2 semester), can it be consider as 1 year program to claim 5 points of adaptability or it should be long for exact 12 months?
3. If I study post-graduate program from community college once again and after graduating, can I apply once again for post-graduate work permit (as I already got 1 and currently working)?
4. Lastly, can I put my immigration file after my current work permit expires at 66 points and meanwhile when my file is processing, I will finish my 1 more year of study in Canada and latter claim 5 more points in my 66 points for adaptability by studying in Canada? Can I do that and will Canadian Immigration Dept. consider that?
I thank you for your time and co-operation and looking forward for your response.
