Hi dear..
my query is
My bother is on a 1 yr student visa expiring in 2 months... since he is finding it difficult to get a work permit. Inorder to apply for his PR, presently he has 66 points, 1 short than required 67.
Henceforth, to gain 5 points from Adaptability factor criteria :
Will getting enrolled for the 2nd year into some other related diploma, make him eligible to get these 5 adaptabilty points
==OR ==
has it to be a single course of 2 yrs ?
Can u elaborate on the last line of this rule also -
Here is the rule from CIC site :
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Adaptability Criteria
Previous study in Canada
You, or your accompanying spouse or common-law partner, completed a program of full-time study of at least two years’ duration at a post-secondary institution in Canada. You must have done this after you were 17 years old and with a valid study permit.
There is no need to have obtained an educational credential for these two years of study to earn these points.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, if he applies for PR now .. which will come atleast after 18 months.. so what can he do after the completion of his 2nd year of stay..?
Best Regards
