Hi Guys
I wanted to share my story about using Home improvement and construction section and using a contruction company for putting new French Doors in my living room.The guy came estimated the job but until today he never finished it. He talks good but is a biggest fraud I have ever seen. He told me that he can only come in the mornings to fix the doors but i wanted him to do this job while i m present so that i can see whether he is doing right ? but he said he has contracts elsewhere,anyway i told him to finish the job in the mornings. He came once a week for 2 hours and then again after 10 days he did half the job,the doors were not levelled ,he didnt know how to make holes in the door for locks,he didnt make any grooves on the frame for hinges.Anyway to keep this story short one fine day he took half of the money and vanished and when i called him ,he kept telling me that his carpentor is not responding.
I want everyone else on this site know that dont ever even try giving him any job for home improvements because he will never finish it and runaway with half of the money.

Sad to know ur experience.

However if you really want to share ur horrible experience, please provide some more info like telephone number and exact location about the Construction company so that the Desi community is safeguarded and stays away from such fraudmasters.

Incomplete details would not serve the purpose of this public portal.

And I'm not in favor of people naming companies or individuals like this on CanadianDesi. I understand your good intentions here and yours is probably an authentica claim but please remember we have no way of verifying the merit of the claim. If someone puts your name or address here with a claim like this, how would you feel? Again we would have no way of verifying the authenticity of this.

We've had issues with this before, so I'm editing your posts. Anyone who wants to find out about this company can email you in person and you can let them know on a personal level.

You put remarks against this company in public. As you know this site is search by search engines and viewed by many fellow desis.

The company can take legal actions against you to defame them. In that case you should have enough evidence to prove your case in court.

I know these kind of things happens, and would be glad to put such stuff here, but if it is going to be a legal issue, I would rather keep myself away from it.

I absolutely agree with your concern.

I think in case any body wants to raise and alert other fellow desis, he should only give a broad/generic idea about the suffering and any specific info should only be given thru private correspondence.

We need to educate people on this for safeguarding the concern and legal implications for Canadiandesi.

In the meanwhile , please delete the name of the company in question from my earlier message to avoid any problem.
