All,
Ive been in Calgary for the past 3 days and havent found any desi restraunt which charges less than $10 for a meal. Could anybody suggest some desi place with more reasonable prices(less than 10)?

TTexan.. where are u located at ? There used to be a restaurant in the NorthWest area.. Palki (run by a Sardarji).. try that out. Of cos the food takes a long time to arrive as the Sardar's wife does all the cooking. But it is good.
If you are in Downtown... then try the restaurant opposite the Plaza theatre. The food there , IMO, is the best.

Hi,
I am near the Chinook center on Maclaud(SW). I saw one called TajMahal but it was falling apart. The other one on Mclaud and Heritage wanted 11.95 for buffet. Im from Houston and used to eating decent desi food for under 7 dollars, and hence the question.

I think the Buffet at Palki is cheap.. (Lunch I guess).. Its on Northwest..
You have to go past the Northlands Shopping Mall ( at the end of it and then take a right turn)...
Sorry I dunno much abt the Chinook centre.. I was staying in the NorthWest Area mostly.

US 7 dollars comes to CAD 10 so either pay for ur food or go for some other stuff. In GTA all good buffets are not less than CAD 10..so thats what u get in canada
