Yesterday I had the oppertunity to fly Air India Domestic.
As you may be aware, these days domestic airlines offers nothing for the entire duration of the flight. One of my peeve, was that out of the 3 people that were there an Air host was around 55 years old (balding 89%) and another air hostess was in her mid fifties with a thick glass and oversize body.
Very pathetic Indeed.
How is Air Canada domestic flights these days?

I think air host and hostess shouldn't be aired as above 50 and 45.
No big deal. Have u flown by Air France? Number of them are old ladies in their lates 40s or early 50s? Hard to make out though due to their heavy makeup. They may be older than they look.
Kingfisher airlines has cute chics. So what. The airline is deep s**t now. Mallya spent millions of $ on IPL and F1 by milking Kingfisher. Now he wants the govt / tax payers to bail him out.
What is wrong as long as they are physically fit enough to help passengers evacuate / assist when there is a disaster. Ignore the appearance, I did comment on this in the past and I feel bad about it.

Old age is a natural progression in life..
So if u are 40 plus and ur productivity drops as a result of age ur company should fire u, is that what the central idea of this post is..
In case of Air india and indian airlines.. it is not the age but the attitude of these airhostess is what i hate.. But u know what for a max of 8 hr flight i dont think i want to get fessed up about it..

The air hostess that I am talking about was not fit enough. She was a bit overweight too. I never saw them at all during the flight after seeing them walk down the aisle just before take off. I am pretty sure that they would not be undergoing vigourous medical check ups as well.
What ever old Air host/hostess of the other international airlines atleast were fit and slim as a fiddle.
What Air India should do is that once they turn old, they should relocate them to ground services (incl. CSR) and get new ones from the ground services (if they are not hiring).
