Married and filing taxes

Hi,

I had above 60000$ in income last year and my wife had 5000$ income.

How does taxation work in canada am i supposed to file seperate tax returns for each of us.

Dude..

Yes, each (husband and wife both) should file a separate tax returns. Each person should mention following details of the spouse on his return (on the first page): Spouse's name, SIN and spouse's income.
