What a ridiculous excuse.. (don't have a software) & the patient has to travel to Toronto for something which is considered a basic part of Gynaecology..
Are we living in a developed country (really!!!), this is the state of affairs of the health dept.
Excuse my rant (but)
Sometimes I feel, wasn't India better, where you could meet the Gynaecologist & get lot better services (in the present day medical care system there).. ?????
Lots of question unanswered for the future ? & the health sector is already running short of software/staff/etc//

How do you know in advance that its a simple case...
Depending upon the of presentation of the baby, an specialist from Obstetrics & Gyanecology may be a better approach.
Family Physician & Emergency is always there (but do you want to depend on emergency)
Guys,
No hue and cry about this.
If you are coming from another province and still not able to get a Gync., you may have to go to the local hospital for your Gync. check up. The Gync. himself / herself knows nothing but will refer to the Ultrasound test which will indicate to the Gync. if the delivery is going to be fine.
During labour pain, you go to the nearest hospital and the Gync. on duty will deliver the baby.
Having your own Gync. may not work in many case. For example if you develop a pain (say at the 5th or 6th month) at 5:01 pm, you still have to go to the hospital as your Gync. would have closed.
Wishing you all the very best.
Peace

I am a Gents and not a Ladies.
Also there are some long hours open clinics (8 am to 11:00 pm) who have in house Gync. where it is a walk in.
There is one at Dundas -Hurontario in Mississauga and one at Victoria stn. subway. There are many more operating in the GTA region. All these clinics will (i think) can bill Sask..So no worries.
Peace

I am in similar situation --- too far out in pregnancy so docs wont accept me - and the most stupid thing is that - I wont even get a choice weather it would be a male or a female - i dont know why do men even do the female anatomy coursen become gynocologists - i feel sooo uncomfortable to go to a male doc but just because i am so late in my pregnancy n NO ONE is accepting me - i might have no choice - its either that - or i'd have to go to ER where i would be handled by the doc on call - male or female - no choice there as well.
if we r not comfortable with the doc then how can the patient be well? im soo mad right now!
Hello Everyone.
Can anyone recommend good female Gynecologist (OBGYN)
I went thru ratemds.com
We dont have family doctor, always go to walk in to a specific doctor only.
He referred to Dr. Esther Park
I found her reviews online not too good.
We advised doctor about her reviews, he advised he know she is a good Gynecologist (OBGYN). If we want we can let her know any other Gynecologist (OBGYN) and he can refer us to the same.
If anyone can recommend good female Gynecologist (OBGYN), i would really appreciate it.
Thank You
