My observation of the job market and also through personal experience I've realized there is a massive growth in opportunities in USA while the Canadian job market is shrinking and selective.
It dried up totally since 2007, but since since the last 3 months there is hiring going on in various technical jobs. The only catch is that they are insisting that they need green card or US citizens.
But with your Canadian passport you can now beat this caveat.
This observation is for non - IT jobs.
Time to spruce up your resumes, start getting back into the " Networks".
Chalo Canada - Welcome promised land.

I was on the phone with my DESI friend who is a global technical director for a chemical MNC. He is hardly 40 and he has reached the top spot. He also mentioned that many of his fellow DESI friends have reached top slots in various US companies.
The reason he ascribes is that many of these companies profitability has eroded from pre 2007 years. The DESI boss is extremely cost conscious compared to his gora counterpart. They also are more flexible in attitude to that of the goras. With the Indian market growing along with China they see an added advantage that they can cater better to the Asian markets.
With cost control as the key we DESI have a bright future for top slots in USA.
Keep your resume polished, network on linked in and participate in various groups related to you core competence to catch the eyes of your potential employer.
It will take some more time for Canada to realize the true Indian potential unlike USA.
Good luck on your endeavor.

Data can not be trusted but there is big demand of professional (STEM) in USA and more salaries, lower taxes and lower living cost. If you have good medical coverage by your employer than it's can be better than Canada.
Canadian $ advantage is gone in manufacturing sector - thanks to oil price and US Fed. There is big push by Obama administration to create mass manufacturing sector back in US. Mercedes AL plant is the most profitable Merc plant in the world
Manufacturing sector is coming back. I heard that US have shortage of semi skills job like CNC operator, machinist and other skills because people left those skills long time back. There is big labor shortage in North Dakota oil fields and mid west shell gas fields.
Everyone wants to paper pusher, finance or IT ( I am in IT) so Caterpillar, Kia, Toyota, Boeing and other big manufacturers are having hard time to find manufacturing skills in southern states.
