Hi. I am a Canadian citizen working in the U.S. on a TN visa.
I have a few questions and am willing to pay for your services. I am looking for an expert on this subject.
Any suggestions?

Why don't you ask the questions here, see if you receive responses that are adequate enough. Meanwhile, you can continue your search for the tax consultant.

In the past I have used H&R block in Canada (specific offices only) that handled cross-border taxation. For several years since, I have been doing it myself.

Ok. I have lots of questions. But the big question is this:
I am a Canadian citizen living out of Canada for all of 2011 and had no income in Canada in 2011. Am I required to file a Canadian tax return for 2011?

Can anyone answer that for me, please? Thanks.

The answer is not as simple as a Yes or No. There are various factor that come into play, such as:

1. How much time did you spend in Canada during the year,
2. Do you have residential ties with Canada...etc

Check this link, it may have answers to your queries -> http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/nnrsdnts/ndvdls/nnrs-eng.html

If you are a tax resident of Canada, you will have to file Cdn returns declaring your worldwide income. You can then take credit for whatever you have already paid to the country where you earned your wages.

Tax residency is different from physical residency which is different from residency for immigration purposes.

Are you a tax resident of Canada? That depends on what ties you had to Canada in 2011 that would establish you as a tax resident. Home, bank accounts, health card, etc, etc, etc. If you believe you are not a tax resident, did you have that verified and declare that officially with CRA? That would pretty much determine your requirement to file taxes in Canada.

I don't have a house or any assets in Canada. I just have a interest earning savings account for which I received a T-5 from my bank in Canada.
Would I be considered a resident or a non-resident for tax purposes?
And if I am a non-resident, do I have to file my taxes in Canada for 2011?

If you are truly a non-resident, then, no, you don't have to file taxes in Canada. To determine if you are a resident, deemed resident or non-resident, see sudesingh's post above and check out the link.
