I have a very simple question to ask to those who have submitted the application under any category. On every form heading there is a form filling guideline " TYPE or PRINT in black ink" . I just wanted to clarify if;
1. I type the form details then it has to be in CAPITAL LETTERS or in General sentence form ?
2. And if I write with a Black ink pen then it has to be in CAPITAL LETTERS or in General sentence form?
Can someone elaborate on these

Thanks for showing the search to search the string that could have possibly lead me to another confusion. Ok, thanks to the user who did a private message to me. Because I remember back in Indian form filling exercise, the definition of TYPE or PRINT was different. Dont know what is now; anyways. So if you are filling a form for a Canadian application here is the guidelines sent to me by a user;
Certain items that need filling in, such as this kind of a form, one with BOXES, is preferably filled in capital format :
Example : F I R S T N A M E L A S T N A M E ( Leave a GAP of ONE BOX. between the names,)
It could also be filled in as follows:
F i r s t n a m e L a s t n a m e The capital letters at the appropriate places (Start Only) NO blank spaces, except where name and surname separates.
T o r o n t o.
O n t a r i o.
C A N A D A.
T2M 2V3. (200 011) Like the pin code in India or Postal Code in CANADA.
HERE THEY PREFER THE WRITINGS IN BLACK INK.
The boxes are spaced to fit the typewriter spacing. It always fits the box.

1. if you are filling with hand , it should be CAPITAL letters else if filing using editable pdf any type will do,
I hope you know why forms are instructed to fill in Caps? because cursive handwriting may not be legible at times. and writing in capitals becomes safe bet in that case. so it is more relevant when form is filled with hand.
2. INK and CAPITAL writing is not linked.
BLACK ink is asked to be used because if form is to be computer scanned , the scanner's acceptance increases with use of black ink.
