Desi's I have got some paintings on my recent trip to India. I need to get those framed, I checked at the local mall, they are charging $50 per frame !
any other places I can check? (GTA - Mississauga area?)

Try Michaels.... They have shops in various locations..... They do custom framing.... Lookout for their framing specials (1-2 times a year).... Where they offer 50-60% off framing costs..... There are long queues and 3-4 weeks waiting times then.... For standard size paintings, ready made frames are also available.... But you have to mount the paintings in the frame yourself..... Hope that helps....

If you think $50 is expensive, do not even consider custom framing at Michaels. I did a couple of frames at 60% off and they came to approx $70 each.

My error..... I misread it to $450.... Which is why I suggested Michaels.... Anyways.... Their ready made standard size frames are very affordable and when they have framing discounts, you get some nice ones for $10-30..... But then you have to see availability and size.....

Try the flee market, you need to be very picky on the quality of the product you pick though...
