I am suggesting a slightly different route from investpro. Here is my idea - Hire a car for a day and start from Nariman Point, going on Marine Drive towards Chowpatty. On the right side, you will see various institutions along the way such as Brabourne Stadium, Taroporewala Aquarium , the various Gymkhanas (Hindu, Parsi, Islam). Once you pass Chowpatty continue onto Walkeshwar, where you may get off to see the famous Banganga Temple. From Walkeshwar if you continue on the same road you will pass Malabar Hill (where the CM's bungalow Sahyadri is situated), the cremation grounds of the Parsi community (tower of Silence), Hanging Gardens, Cafe Naaz (now closed) and come down to Kemps Corner and Cumballa Hill. Continue down and you will pass Mahalaxmi Temple and reach the Haji Ali dargah , off Worli. This will give you another view of the city.
Great ideas from wonderful people - Thanks
All of the above and...
make sure your family exposes their taste buds to the paav bhaaji at Shiv Sagar in the Juhu beach area
