I have been told by VFS Canada that since I am in the category of age 21-50, I do not need to transfer OCI sticker from old passport when I renew & acquire a new passport booklet.
Has any OCI holder had experience of travelling to India with old and new passports? Are the foreign airlines also aware of this rule and allow hassle free boarding?

On a similar note, can this be applied to people less than 18 years of age?
A family known to me has a child who is 6 years old. They renewed his cdn. passport recently. They want to avoid the hassles of restamping the OCI sticker in the new passport. They plan on taking a vacation from India to Singapore. Can it be done?
Peace

I am a Gents and not a Ladies.
For People less than 16 years of age, if they are planning to travel India, they should restampe the OCI sticker in the new Canadian Passport. I know its hassle but they should do it for their own convenience. I know some of my friend did not restamp the OCI sticker in the new Canadian passport for their children and travel to India without any difficulties. If you go by rules then you need to restamp OCI sticker in new passport everytime you renew your passport if you are under 16 or above 50 year old. The restamping process is as lengthy as first time OCI application and you need to visit VFS atleast 4 times to complete the process. ( If you made some mistake or missed some documents then additional visits)
I have travelled several times with Kids having OCI sticker placed on old PP's w/o any issues or questions asked .

Growing Old Is Mandatory ..Growing UP is Optional
I have travelled India in Jan with OCI sticker on old Canadian passport without any issue any where. Keep your OCI booklet (passport type) handy at Indian Airport at the time of arrival.
