My wife landed in april 2012 and still it's september and pr card not recd yet, pls guide what to do

i tried several times to make call cic call center but its always so busy and call gets disconnected automatically

Where is your location?
The PR card office used to be at 55 St. Clair West or East (Toronto) and walk able distance from the St. Clair subway station.
Can you make a trip in person to find out?

It's almost impossible to get through the call centre.... Lookup their site.... They have something on lost or unreceived PR Cards..... Send an email/fax.... Create a trail that you did not receive the cards.....Otherwise, They will charge you for re-issuing cards....if I am not mistaken....

Did you ever happen to find out the next steps on getting a PR card since landing?
In my case my mother landed here on PR during July 2012. No information if we should apply for a PR card or will it come on its own. It has been 4 months I kept trying to get in touch with CIC but their automated system is very confusing.

Please share your experience and if you can direct me to the next steps pls.
