I will be in India in Feb.I have two crowns on 2 root filled teeth. I would like these teeth extracted and replaced with implants and zirconium crowns. I want to have this done by a dentist who specializes in this procedure and done at a completive price. Has anyone out there any advice or experience on the matter?

1, Implant is done in an area where there is loss of teeth. I am not sure why you want to extract your natural teeth which is already root canal treated and crowned.

2, Implant is integrated directly on to the jaw bones. So if you want to place implants you need to remove your existing teeth and wait for the bone to heal in the region so the implants can be successfully placed.

3, Normally implants are done in 2 stages. In the first stage the bone is drilled and implant placed into the bone. It will take 3 to 6 months for the bone to fuse with the implant. After this the implant is loaded (ie the visible crown is placed on top of the implant part which is under the gums)

4, Implants cannot be done for all people. It depends on how good your bone in the region is and how good your general health is. Patients with uncontrolled diabetes are poor candidates for dental Implant.
