Hi,

Im from India, presently with Student Visa Status in Canada, looking forward to booking a stamping appointment at US consulate.

Need some advice on:

1) How soon can you book an appointment
(Intend to start working from Oct1st 2007 in US, if stamping granted)

1-b) Is it mandatory to wait for the recomended '10 days before validity date of oct1st, or can I go head and book in late August/early Sept 2007

2) Which consulate is better suited for my case - Ottawa or Toronto (residing in Toronto) any info on success rate in Toronto?

3) My H1 petition is based on my previous Indian experience of 6 years in IT/Networking, although I am completing a PG course in Project Management
(Are there any chances that my Stamping may get held up because my primary credentials are from India?, or may be diverted to Chennai?)

4) Have a previous US-Student Visa rejection way back in 2002, will there be any affect of this?
