I am just wondering if we can implement popup msg when some one sends a private
message.

I missed lots of msg sent to me long back.

I don't think we can do that.

However on the charcha page you can see the status of your messages like this:

My Messages
0 New Messages, 16 in total.

This is easier way.

I might be able to put this message on the home page itself, if that might help.
