Does anybody know the name of really good Adware/Spyware removal program. I know there are plenty of programs that can remove adware/popups/spyware on download.com but I do not know which is good one that can remove maximum number of adware/spywares.

As recommended by nishit ad-aware is good product but my personal experience had been that its not able to to remove 100% spyware. You will find that you have at least 1 item found on scan.

Good thing is that its free and it contains the problem to quite reasonable level. I have started to use aluria now a days and has capability to scan RAM in realtime. After that i feel the pc is quite safe.

If you are doing lot purchases or payments online i think you should evaluate and go for the best paid products...

I think Ad-Aware is good start though..

Guys... a personal thought

Spyware alone is not good enough. YOu need a good anti virus system + a good ad blocking system

So download the following.

1.) AVG Anti virus (the free edition) - very very effective

2.) Ad muncher. Its shareware so you know what to do

3.) Ads Gone

4.) Spybot and

5.) BhoDaemon

Make sure all of these are running on ur machine. I am free of pop-ups, web-bugs, spyware ..u name it (AAMOF, I cant even see the ads posted on CD)

I found the free spybot from http://www.spybot.info" rel="nofollow">LINK a useful product for removing spyware from the system.
For pop-up the MSN pop-up blocker is reasonably good.

Spysweeper has been rated to be the #1 software.

Available from all major stores. Norton Internet Security now comes with Anti-spyware software in it
