Obviously we all understand that our living in basements and your living in a multi million dollar house and speculating will have little or no outcome on the happenings in India but nevertheless for humor sake , please share your preference amongst political parties along with reasons ....
Lol! So under San-Hugo, AAP fan club is rapidly expanding. I guess I will always have to respond AAP thread by reiterating that AAptard cannot think and /or are lazy and/are arrogant.
1. I live in a rented Apartment which costs me $1,250 a month.
2. If you ever cared to read (Hope you are not a typical AAP lazy bum), I have always stated that I do not support AAP for a very obvious reason that I consider AAP policies as communist/radical socialist.
3. I have several times asked a question - Name a country which has improved quality of their citizens by adopting socialism/communism.
I am not a fan of Modi but in the present circumstances, he is the only guy who has a viable and practical economic policies and a track record.
Hope this satisfies your curiosity.
I do not agree that we cannot make difference in Indian politics. San-Hugo, with his mukti-million two storey house and fantastic income would have contributed $10,000. Likewise, you can contribute $10,000 to Khujli. It will not make a dent in your networth.
Carry on. Lol!
NM , to make your arguments stronger (huh ?) , you are adept in twisting the facts.
AAP does not have communist ideology. period. I personnaly hate communist ideology and will not promote. There is no talk of socialism either.
AAP , on basis of swaraj concept flexible to accept change per local needs , is pure form of democracy where citizens participate in policy making through referendums specially on the matters directly connected to the particular community and does not leave or wait for babus to have a vision. The larger country wide matters (foreign affairs, economy, security, defence, trades etc) is still handled and controlled by democratically elected govt. like it is done today. In other terms power is objectively divided. The working of private industry will remain same unlike in communism where workers or socialism where govt take control of private sector. You are using these terms in your arguments because otherwise there is no other way for you to counter logic which AAP presents to indians. you are defeated but putting up a good fight.
I am tempted to repeat that you are an ignorant oldie who fail to learn and accept change. 'Ulta Gharra' is the term I coined for you and only you. suck it up OR accept and change.
Religiously blinded folks (BJP) and the ones cling on to a specific twisted ideology/practice (Congis) are always the last to preach peace and a clean form of Governance. That's why they are jolted by AAP's presence.
AAP is becoming too hot to handle for these outdated ideologists. Why then, BJP with the single biggest party in Delhi is hesitant to form power? Unprecendented, eh! Well, oft-repeated and meaningless monologues don't result into viable dialogues. Enough said.
The latest is that the AAP (28) may form the government with outside support from the Congress (8). There was this drama of SMS Opinion Poll. Likely, the AAP may end up as the new avatar of the Congress.

Try to understand the circumstances created by BJP and Congress in Delhi. First of all, both BJP and Congress started instigating AAP to form the government with reasons like extra burden of re-election, AAP is avoiding taking responsibility of forming government, they cannot fulfill their promises so they are avoiding forming the government etc.
Instead of taking the decision of forming the government with outside support in closed doors, AAP decided to ask from the people of Delhi to take their opinion. There is notorious history of Congress of providing initial outside support and later bring down the government. Now, if they bring down the AAP government after few months, it will be against the wish of people and Congress may further shrink down from 8 seats in the event of re-election.
There is another twist of this outside support. Up to now, the outside supporting party use to dictate their terms but in this case, AAP is taking the support on its own terms. This is an unprecedented phenomenon. This is a new politics AAP is practicing.

A Delhite in Toronto
Arvind Kejriwal has been awarded Indian of the Year 2013 award for politics.

A Delhite in Toronto
It is by CNN-IBN, hardly a prestegious channel.
But he deserves the award. Wish it was from more prestegious institutions.
I saw him receiving the award and answer questions from the Host. He is extremly mild mannered, timid and hardly looks like an eloquent and convincing speaker.
Inspite of all this, if he and his party for 28 seats in the New Delhi election, Kudo's to the mindset of the people and the drive of the people to vote honest people into power.
That is what may be lacking even from the rest of India.
