I guess one can't generalise for all items on sale but there seems to be an element of luck in picking up the right quality product.
I was not looking @ but was following up on TVs ( per my other thread ) and what I observed & posted , most of the latest 3D / smart TVs from major brands were available in 240Hz @ deal price ...
Sure there were some lower configuration ones also - 60 Hz ones .... but that's where your analysis and timeliness comes in .... I am sure in laptops also , there would be some real deals , though few and only for early worm catchers ...
Electronics on Boxing Day - nearly all of the hot deals are finished by 26th morning and those not so hot ones remain later during the days .....
Just to add on IPad and Ipad mini were both @ 100/- - 60/- gift card discount @ Target and guess what .. it finished soon .....
There was a Toshiba 50" 120Hz LED TV for $500/- and finished in 5 mins ..... 32 GB micro sd card / sd card for $13/- .... Get me the price any of the regular days / events throughout the year and I will conceded that Boxing Day is passe .
