What can be done if there are more AAP supporters than anyone else on the board? How can you counter if we don't find any fault with Kejri 'Clown'.

Please ask/appeal others, if they could persistently sing praises in favour of the beloved Modi in the same proportion as Kejri's.

This Kejri clown happens to be the Chief Minister of Delhi Govt. Any discussion involving efficacy of the Delhi Govt shall involve the Govt. constituents ... especially when the Delhi Govt. is protesting against Delhi Police.

That s kind a funny - there s another thread which shows inferiority of the Kejri .. that is not being moderated ...

You are again de-railing the topic. I am not stopping you to keep praising the joker, you can do that by creating a new thread, but if you look at last few posts on this thread, none talks about the original intent of this thread.

Please contribute positively.

Regarding praising Modi, I don't have to do it explicitly - the entire world is doing it, so it is kind of a Mute point for me.

We agree to that Sir , I admire Modi as much ..No doubt about that ... a very strong and capable leader ... the strongest contender for the PM post .. I would not be surprised if all the other parties including Congress / SP / BSP connive to bring him down so that he may not become PM ... I wish he does ..

Coming back to the point ..... reference to AAP and AK is inevitable when we speak about Delhi Govt. But yes , my original post was more generic - regardless of who is in power , Delhi Police should be under Delhi Govt's governance because there a lack of accountability , team work and responsibility otherwise especially when the Center and the State are from 2 different parties .

A crime takes place in Delhi..The first stones are thrown @ the Government but the Govt can't do anything as DP is out of their control ... Police Stations are brought for postings and there s so much of bribery and corruption in the force that Delhites are scared of Delhi Police rather than feeling secured .

What s the benefit of keeping it under Centre ?? OK you want a Central Force for centre , create one .. but leave Delhi Police for Delhi State under Delhi Govt.

The Centre already has CRPF, but they use it as a Military unit in case of riots and any National calamity. As the name suggests, it's a Reserve force, rather a regular policing. So, yes, I think they need a model on the lines of RCMP. However, the problem will still exist. Every state must have its own Police force that must be accountable to the State legislatures, rather than Central Govt. Unless you have that, you can continue witnessing the sad state of affairs. Even after getting into State's control, many reforms are needed to control the 'goonda' aspects of the currupt Policemen. Neta-Police nexus must be broken in order for reforms to take place and initiate.

India's main problems on the ground are Policing and Judiciary. Once they are fixed (somewhat) everything else falls into place to some extent. Politicians must also do away with interference, but that's a wishlist.

Kejriwal's action might be a little aggressive, but tell me when has India's problems resolved with only passing the Bills and merely by talks. In 67 years, we haven't seen any positive change. some may be be happy with 'India Shining', I am certainly not. If it's in Govt. own interests and vote bank policies, they pass ANY Bill in weeks' time and when it's not, the file bites the dust for years. And, mind it, this applies to all parties. What Kejriwal is doing is aggressive but India needs these tactics very much in order to get ahead of the game. I am with him, despite of what others say. Give me any party that implements a single promise within one month, but this 'Clown' did it in weeks. You are still opposed to it? Well, then you're just opposing him for the sake of it.

Here's an excellent article on the same lines, and some suggestions by the author on Policy making:

Want to see the real face of Delhi Police - watch this video and tell whether Delhi Police should be accountable or not. That time has gone when people use to accept all malpractices and corruptions. This Kejri Clown has awaken not only Delhiites but all Indians. The spark has started.

Yesterday there was this program on what exactly happened in Kirkee residential locality, conducted by Sagarika Ghose at 10.30PM in CNN-IBN.

Sagarika had lined up the residents of the locality and asked them to speak on the issue of the Law Minister conducting allegedly "midnight raid".

After the first few minutes it was total chaos and free for all, luckily they did not come to blows. But a regular viewer can understand what was happening.

In any residential area on any issue adversely affecting the residents it is usually the writ of the local Dadha, ruling party and the local administration in that order prevails. The local residents have to put their head down and walk or else they may even be done to death.

But on this occasion the local residents had really mustered the courage to speak against the drug pedaling and sex racket happening under the immunity of being foreign nationals. But even as they had started to air their views in front of the camera, they were shouted down by infiltrators who were not residents of Kirkee Extension.

Amidst the confusion, Sagarika managed to state the english news media's pet theme that young women wearing short dresses and moving about in the dead of the night is a right guaranteed under the Constitution and that the residents cannot object to the same.

Even that be so, the ordinary resident of whole of Delhi and not alone Kirkee, does not want another Nirbhaya victim happening in his household or for that matter even Sagarika would only think likewise. Is it not prevention better than cure and should we expect the police to protect the citizens round the clock and cry "moral policing" on the other hand.

That the local police thinking that they are not answerable to the Law Minister Somnath Bharti only aggravates the crime and law and order problems.
