Hi I am dual Indian and Canadian citizen. I came to India and have stayed for almost a year. I came on a 30 day visa on Canadian passport but I overstayed by almost a year.

Could anyone please tell me what I have to do now so I can leave India and come back to Canada? Visa fees? etc.

India has OCI , not dual citizenship. While going out they check overstay. I would recommend to see a Immigration lawyer in India for advice.

Where is visa or overstaying of visa coming into picture if the OP is an OCI aka "dual citizen"?

BTW - OCI is not dual citizenship. India does not recognize dual citizenship.

Do one thing - Since you have overstayed ..report to the nearest Canadian Embassy and after that report to the nearest Indian Police Station ... better if it is Delhi Police ... Explain your situation to them and mention that you are a Canadian citizen ... They will take care of the rest !!!!

I am sure you do not understand a few things about OCI/PIO. As an OCI you are permitted to stay there as long as you want.

Now where does the 30 day VISA enter the picture. You don't need a visa and no one will issue you one to visit INDIA.

You can stay there till cows come home.

Did you buy a ONE WAY TICKET or an OPEN TICKET? Rebook if you want to come back to Canada. Or lose it.
