DEar Mr. Raj,
As I said, it was my view... but let me further elaborate. Words like LUCK, BLESSINGS etc... are invisible things, right?..Can you see them?..what I have written is it is invented by us. We all work to survive. FAME, SUCCESS, POPULARITY etc.. are the highest standards one has to achieve through the hard work, decision making, opportunistic approach etc...
The first human ADAM did not know anything, he must have surely seen an apple hanging on a tree and had to raise his hand to break it to eat it. WHat my point is every action is lead by another action. You must shake your body, mind, heart everything to do an act. And let me tell you on your further examples,
There is a 100 Mtr race and 10 runners started their racing. Have you seen all 10 winning and coming first. They all are different then each other on that day due to their performance on that day. One had to run fast to become no. 1. Our life and its challeneges are like this race, to become MAHATMA, ALBERT EINSTEIN or DHIRUBHAI, you will have to know how to win that race. If one has a focus he can achieve his goal, but lket me tell you its not possible that everyone becomes a celebrity. You yourself are a celebrity in your own world once you achieve your goal. Haven't you seen that People like Mahatma has created people to follow them, the event on the south african railway station gave us MAHATMA, it was never a mere LUCK factor which made him MAHATMA, we all know. WHAT HARDSHIPS HE UNDERWENT TO BECOME MAHATMA IS KNOWN BY THE ENTIRE WORLD.
Hey...I am not making my point...or boasting...but I thouight of putting my own point here... can you believe I am a non-graduate. When I completed my diploma, I had no choice but to lok for a job. It was the time of MBAs & Graduates competing for good jobs. TOday after 12 years of hard fought journey, I am working a branch manager with one of the most reputed finance company of INDIA and can you believe there are 15 MBAs reporting to me(with all my due respect to MBAs and the great degree)????...will you call this a mere LUCKKKKK...No my friend, if I recollect my old days, I am sure today of one fact at least, that it was my non-stop drivings and sloggings in the 46 degree heat of Gujarat made me this today not LUCK.
Well let me finish here...because if I keep on writting it would never end.....I don't say that whatever I have written is the truth...But I think its the reality...We all work and work and work....
Regards,
VJ
I would say not luck but one needs opportunity...and how do opportunity comes ...of course by Luck..
So VJ it is Luck indirectly..of course your Hard work is also important factor but first of all you can work hard if you have something to do..I.E Opportunity..
Dont be discouraged my friend but I am just trying to Focus on Reality....
Two guys went for interview. Guy A extra orinary and intelligent who used to teach Guy B and Guy B was dam sure that A will be got selected, but some how it happend that the Guy B got selected.
Is it not a luck?

What can be imagined, can be achieved.
People know story of only successful person. Do you know any story who despite of the working hard could not become Col Sanders?
When you debate on a topic say \"LUCK\" then compare two person with same scenario and strength. It is not justifiable to compare
1) person sitting all his lives with his hands on his lap.
WITH
2) A person who takes initiative, identify, and convert any situation in an opportunity.
compare two person of type 2 (A person who takes initiative, identify, and convert any situation in an opportunity.) will both of them will achieve exactly the same level of success? why?
Success doesn't come only by hard work its a ultimate fruit which popups after long process which includes lots of failure, disappointments etc.
If it would have come only by hard work then there are many labourer in India working day and night to survive, all of them would have become successful, there are many ricksaw wala driving ricksaw at 40 degree temperature at streets of patna.
Cheers
Raj

Hi Chandresh,
I agree with you 100% what you had mentioned. This world basically runs on fate. People think that they have achieved whatever in this world because of their hard work, capability etc.
Thats not true. Each one has a fate written on him, whatever you do you will achieve only as per that.
I will give you an example. You ask any child..whats your ambition when you grow up...they might say doctor, Engineer, Scientist, Pilot etc etc. But if any one says I want to become the prime Minister of India..Is it possible?????
I am talking about a person who is a genius, 99% marks in school, college, etc has a dyanamic personality, took Ph.D and has all possible qualitites that any human being can have....all this wont guarantee a position of Prime Minister..........while Laloo Yadav can be a Chief Minister...............
You will only reach the position that is designated on your fate........
I thank God for whatever position I am in today. There are hundreds of Engineers talented than me in India...no jobs..or low paying jobs...low standard of living etc.
It was my fate to come to Dubai and work for an Oil company...so I am....thats fate......
It needs some kind of revelation for many to understand that.
Bye
Deep
You win some.......loose some....Everything is not justified in this world.

U win some...lose some...everything is not justified in this world.
Chandresh,
I really enjoyed reading your post on luck. I totally believe luck is needed to rise up above the rest. I personally know many of my school mates and college mates who were extraordinary brilliant are just leading a very normal life, whereas some average students have risen up much above my expectaions.
By the way, I know Anand Rathi personally as I was working for Indian Rayon Bangalore.
