If the total compensation is less than 45K AED, Life is Dubai is going just average, with kids school, rent and expenses, it would run to 25K-28K.. What remains would be the savings..

Just a general observation.
People say that with a Canadian passport your avenues / oppertunities get broadened. However, I have found that employers in the middle east donot respond to a person who holds a Canadian passport due to hassles. This is true for construction and middle management position.
Why I am telling this is that, I have applied for openings and have also encouraged person's who have Indian passport to also apply, and the people with Indian passport alone get calls / job offers while I have not got any.
To give examples :
1. One MNC has jobs in Iraq which pays USD 5000 a month with free accomodation, free food, free medical, no work etc... My friend got it (who is 5 years junior to me) but they did not call me. However they contacted my other friend who refused so this means that openings are still there.
2. One company from Oman offered OMR 2300 and job offer to my friend (who did not take it) but not to me.
So may be, Canadian passport may open avenues in Europe but not in the Gulf and that too in the construction sector.
Hope this helps someone.

I am a Gents and not a Ladies.
Seriously, Murali you need to give up your Canadian passport if that's how you feel. True Canada is not meant for losers like you.
I agree with bombayduck62, Murli the loser, give up your Canadian passport if you have courage.
You are very correct about the US / Canadian passport.
You would sell yourself well on a customer facing / sales related position but again as you know the enthnicity would count.

It is literally boring throwing stones at each other India vs canada and esp people looking for free stay and food and asking to handover canadian pp or citizenship.
how About talking about interesting topics like expensive higher education, school drop outs and depression and children leaving home at young age and shelter and drugs and hanging with bad crowds, which according to me is serious issues coz both parents are working and unable to gv qualitative time to their children. This is all over the world so, I feel let us educate ourselves how to handle such serious issues.??
