Recently, I got a message from my friend in India asking about his acquaintance being offered a job with Walsh Group, Vaughan.
I was surprised that Canadian companies would go outside Canada offering jobs. I Googled and found this

I have got a Call from 1-613-699-1956. He said he is speaking from Canada Revenue Agency and he has a warrant against me.
Warrant ID: ON 1928
His name Officer: Jason Wright, Badge Id :4471
My faults he listed:
1. violation of banking regulation
2. breach of contract CRAA,
3. providing misleading info to govt authorities,
Pay now $1289.23 and close the file or he will take the file to court which will end up paying thousands of dollars
I have reported all my income / information to CRA correctly till date and thats how I can tell its fraud call but He had my correct address with him.
I have sent this email to RCMPs email listed on CRAs website,
I am passing this information to you in no time so that i can save somebody of being their victim.

MY colleague at work got a similar call. Same name and badge number, a very thick desi accent, but he said he's calling from Immigrations Canada. Infact the phone display was a Immigrations Canada 1-800 number.
He said they're a case against you (my colleague) and asked if he received any documents at home. I started questioning him and he dropped the call, but called back in a few minutes. This time we didn't answer the call.
My brother got a similar call, as love_n_peace with the exact same details a few months ago. He even left a call back number. I called back and threatened to get him arrested, he just dropped the call.
Buyers beware....especially if you have parents at home and they start panicking

I got hit with this a few months back.
In that case, the scammer claimed to be from the US IRS (Internal Revenue Service), claiming that I had unpaid taxes in the US.
For 1 brief minute, I was indeed stumped because I used to live in the US (although I used to file my tax returns correctly every year).
But the moment he asked for immediate payment via credit card, I knew it was a scam.
Also, the incoming number was Delaware listed - one of the favorite breeding grounds for scammers.
I asked him for his extension number at the IRS, and said I will call him back via the main IRS call center and proceed from there.
He hung up immediately.
I am guessing they trawl through names and addresses via phone books, Google, and 411 listings to try and match people with previous addresses.

I asked him for his extension number at the IRS, and said I will call him back via the main IRS call center and proceed from there.
He hung up immediately.
This perhaps is the best approach to handle the scammers.

I have bought brand new Hyundai from Rexdale Blvd in Toronto. The Salesman also succeeded to sell me a warranty with it which increased my biweekly payment by $16 biweekly for 8 years. Now they want all the services and oil changes to be done at their shop which costs me $100 to $300 otherwise they will cancel my warranty. I cant do my oil changes and service outside else warranty gets terminated!!!!!
corporate white collar scammers!!!!!!
