Hello,
My wife is a Canadian citizen living with me in the US on H4 visa. She recently got a job offer from a company in the US and wants to convert her status from H4 to TN.
Does anyone have any experience with this situation? Is it difficult to convert her status as she is already in the US for about two years. Please provide any guidance.
Thank you.
Converting the status is not difficult. She needs to visit a US port of entry with all the required documents and obtain the TN authorization. Just make sure there is nothing frivolous in the application such as a degree and job mismatch or any other vagaries.

If going to the border is not convenient/too expensive, another way is to file I-129 to change the status from H4 to TN. Many times, the employer will do this for you. Good luck!
Thank you everyone!
