Hi CD’s,
I am happy to let you know that my visa under software pilot program got approved. Since I am working in the US for the last two years; they (Canadian Consulate) said no medical tests are needed. Initially it was told to me that I will have to undergo medicals but since they said it is not necessary anymore I am in a precarious situation now. My visa will be valid for one year and my employer will get it extended or apply for PR on my behalf as needed. Mine is going to be a full time position in Canada. Do you guys think will there be any problem for me to get PR status (I am perfectly alright now) since they did not do any medical tests and they will do it when I apply for PR status?
What do you guys suggest please let me know, do you want me to take a chance and come to Canada or go back to India and continue my work. All the suggestions are welcome and invaluable for me as such issues can’t be resolved by talking to immigration specialists or attorneys. To be candid and honest with you guys my final decision will be mostly based on your feedback as it is hard to get definitive answers from immigration specialists and attorneys. Please let me know as soon as you can as my passport has already been mailed to Canadian Consulate for stamping.
Once again thank you all for your invaluable help,

Hi congratulation. I am not sure, what is the problem in applying for P.R? Why are you so hesitant? What problem you are expecting in medicals?

hi nmt,
Thank you for your wishes. The issue with me is I suffered from pulmonary TB almost ten years bcak. I am perfectly alright now. Now they are issuing me visa under Software pilot program without any medical tests (as I have been working in the US for last two years), but when I apply for PR after coming to Canada, what if they reject because of my medical background. That is the only concern I have.
If there are no such chances of my PR getting rejected because of my medical history after I apply then I dont have any concerns in coming to canada, but if they reject because of my medical history then I dont want to come to canada at all, even though my visa got approved.
Thanks again,
